Fine Chemicals Supplier Ereztech Achieves GHS Compliance

Fine Chemicals Supplier Ereztech Achieves GHS Compliance

Atlanta, Georgia, October 25, 2012 –– Ereztech LLC (http://ereztech.com), a US-based business offering a wide range of  rare-earth derivatives, organometallic compounds, ligands, and building blocks manufactured in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, is now compliant with the United Nations Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS).

The GHS is a single, harmonized system for classification of chemicals according to their health, physical, and environmental effects.  It also provides harmonized communication elements, including labels and safety data sheets.  In the United States, the final rule regarding implementation of GHS was published on March 26, 2012 and requires manufacturers to adopt the standard by June 1, 2015 and distributors to adopt the standard by December 1, 2015.

Due to the strategic agreement with MSDSpro, LLC (http://www.MSDSpro.com), Ereztech will be able to continuously monitor its Safety Data Sheets for standard updates and new regulatory requirements, and provide multi-lingual and state-level compliance for all of its advanced material and fine chemical products.

“By ensuring GHS compliance well in advance of the deadline, Ereztech has underscored its commitment to serve its customers by meeting the highest possible standards,” says President Lia Rytov. “Exceptionally few manufacturers in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union have even begun the process of attaining GHS compliance. We have taken this step now so that we can provide our customers not only with only exceptionally high-quality specialty materials, but also the peace of mind that our products meet international labeling and hazard communication requirements.”

“We are pleased to be chosen as Ereztech’s strategic partner,” says MSDSpro, LLC President Ali Zaarour.  “The objective of OSHA Hazard Communication Standard 2012 is to improve the overall safety and health of workers through more effective and standardized communications on hazardous chemicals in the workplace.  Partnering with MSDSpro for SDS authoring allows Ereztech’s SDSs to clearly state the required GHS elements and other key chemical information to workplace employees, chemical users and first responder teams. Ereztech’s Safety Data Sheets clearly benefit their US-based customers, who may use Ereztech’s SDSs as reference documents when training their workplace employees on the new GHS label elements and SDS format.”
