Bis(ethylcyclopentadienyl)cobalt(II) has been used as the metal precursor to grow the Co films by plasma-enhanced atomic layer deposition. Various Co thin films were grown by PE-ALD on a 200 nm SiO2 film, which was deposited on p-type silicon substrates by thermal oxidation. See link below
