Tungsten(VI) ethoxide was used for the preparation of Ag/WO3 nanobars, mediated by cationic surfactant CTAB through the hydrothermal route. This product is also used in thin films, display, and imaging, optics as well as for x-ray screen phosphors, fireproofing fabrics and in gas sensors. This product is applied as an intermediate for sol-gel coatings. See links below
