Dimethylzinc is widely used as a zinc precursor in the MOCVD/MOVPE. In combination with tBuOH as an oxygen source, it was used for the growth of ZnO films by MOCVD; in combination with phosphine PH3 as phosphorus source, for the growth of Zn3P2 thin films by photoenhanced-CVD. This product also has been applied for the growth of ZnxCd1−xSe epilayers by MOCVD. In combination with tBu2S, it has been used for the growth of ZnS by MOVPE. In combination with H2Se, DMZn was used for the growth of single-crystalline layers of undoped ZnSe on GaAs substrates as well as for the deposition of (100)-oriented ZnCdTe layers by atmospheric-pressure MOVPE. ZnMe2 is extensively used as p-dopant for the InP layers, Zn-doped AlInAsSb and AlInAsSb/InGaAs MQW structures grown by MOVPE. See links below
