Bis(tri(isopropyl)cyclopentadienyl)barium was used for the growth of epitaxial barium titanate at 400 °C by HV-CVD. This process showed, for the first time, chemical vapor deposition of epitaxial barium titanate films at substrate temperatures that are compatible with current CMOS device fabrication and technology. This product was also used for the superlattice approach for the atomic layer deposition of polycrystalline BaTiO3 thin films, which is an example of an effective route to produce high-quality complex oxide films with excellent thickness and compositional control.
