Aluminum ethoxide has been applied as a precursor for the ALD deposition of Al2O3. The importance of this product as an alkoxide precursor in the tailoring of the structural and textural properties of γ-alumina was reported. It is also may be used to prepare esters from the corresponding aldehydes. See links below
