Zirconium(IV) ethoxide is a precursor for the synthesis of olefin-functionalized zirconium-containing monomers, which have the potential for the generation of hybrid zirconium-containing polymers. Zirconium alkoxides are widely applied as precursors for the growth of Zr-containing layers by MOCVD or ALD. See link below
